Plantopia Privacy Policy

Plantopia is operated by Graviton AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how Plantopia collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Plantopia mobile application and related services.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Plantopia, we may collect:
- Account information: email address and Firebase account identifiers when you create or sign in to an account. Plantopia may also create an anonymous Firebase account before you register.
- Plant information: plant names, species, care schedules, location details, window direction, distance from windows, watering activity, fertilizing schedules, and notes you provide.
- Photos: photos you capture or select for plant identification, plant care analysis, and progress logging.
- AI requests and results: information submitted for plant identification or care recommendations, plus the resulting suggestions.
- Subscription information: purchase status, subscription entitlement, and transaction identifiers when subscriptions are available. Payment card information is processed by Google Play and is not collected by Plantopia.
- Device and diagnostic information: app performance, crash, security, and usage information collected through Firebase and Google services.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and maintain plant profiles, schedules, reminders, and photo logs.
- Identify plants from photos and generate personalized plant-care suggestions.
- Improve and secure Plantopia, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot errors.
- Authenticate users and retain their data across devices.
- Process and verify subscriptions and purchases.
- Communicate with you when you contact support.
AI Photo Processing
When you choose to use plant identification or AI care analysis, Plantopia uploads the selected photo to Firebase Storage and sends the image or its secure storage URL, along with relevant plant details, to OpenAI to provide the requested feature.
AI-generated identification and care suggestions may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are informational only and are not professional horticultural, pest-control, medical, or safety advice.
Services That Process Information
We use service providers to operate Plantopia:
- Google Firebase for authentication, cloud functions, cloud storage, analytics, security, and diagnostics.
- OpenAI for plant image identification and AI-generated care suggestions when you request those features.
- Google Play for subscription and payment processing when subscriptions are available.
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information.
We share information only as needed to operate Plantopia, including with Firebase, OpenAI, Google Play, and service providers that help us run, secure, and improve the app. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or others.
Data Retention
We retain account, plant, photo, and care-plan information for as long as needed to provide Plantopia, maintain your account, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us at nsoni@gravitonai.info. We may retain limited information where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
You may:
- Choose not to provide optional plant details or photos.
- Stop using camera and photo features by denying related device permissions.
- Edit or delete plant information within the app where available.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting nsoni@gravitonai.info.
- Manage or cancel Google Play subscriptions through the Google Play Store.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
Plantopia is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at nsoni@gravitonai.info.
International Users
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from your local laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date.
